Synopsis: A heartfelt documentary from Birmingham director David King. David's usual field is drama, but this proposal for an honest look at his own experiences growing up in Birmingham with an African father and English mother impressed the panel so much they gave him the commission. The result is a touching film that nonetheless never loses its sense of humour.
Festivals & Awards: Screened within Short Film Corner at Cannes and as part of the BBC Big Screen Summer Festival in 2007. Shortlisted for Screen Cinematic 2006.
